LEAP – Ballan Arts Project
A series of participatory arts programs delivered in partnership with community organisations, especially Wombat Regional Arts Network. Although Moorabool Shire has not had an arts officer since mid 2010, Councils Community Development Team has looked for innovative ways to invest in the delivery of arts services across the community. A unique partnership between the shire, Ballan District Health & Care and Wombat Regional Arts Network (WRAN) has seen a number of initiatives take place, including a regular arts network dinner, development of collaborative arts project with community, use of public space to engage diverse groups in the arts and a consideration of the role that WRAN plays in relation to arts leadership and access in the shire.
