GIZ Cambodia
We are currently producing three short documentaries promoting the importance of Social and Labour standards in the textile and garment industry in Cambodia, in collaboration with SHOOT International Media Production Co.Ltd. This project involves the German Federal Ministry and is implemented by GIZ and the Cambodian Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training. It is crucial to raise awareness for the importance of labour inspections in order to strengthen the reliability and reputation of the garment sector in Cambodia in terms of sustainable production, especially in view of the sector’s exports to Europe and the USA. An effective and transparent system of labour inspections can build up and strengthen the branding of ‘Made in Cambodia’ garments.
